The power is already in the trunk under the removable panel on the passenger side. For the audio I just tapped the wires for the factory sub(the amp is on the driver's side of trunk).
Let me try to save you some trouble- It's not going to sound good/right. I tried different subs, box type and amps and it always sounded better without it. I think it's a phase problem when you run different size speakers in different locations playing the same frequencies. Unless you're going to change the whole system, just adding a sub is not going to sound good.

I finally gave up messing with german cars' sound systems. It was a headache to get everything to work only in the end to regret it and pull it out. I too found that the subs alone did not do much for the sound system and only made it off-balance.

I actually just got finished adding subs to my 2008 S6.
I'll take some pictures for you if interested.
I put in 2 x JL Audio 10W6 Subs and a JL Audio HD750/1 and a CAP.
Looks and sounds excellent (and doesn't even use hardly and of my trunk -- that was a requirement for me), my installer is very experienced and knows how to balance things out fairly well. He did tap into the factory sub output.
