No i havent taken off the door panel yet but I found a tutorial on some french forum that sais it should only take about 20 mins. its only 5 screws and some clips. easyyyy

Now that I took this sucker out a few comments if any of you guys attempt this.

1. The door panel does NOT have to come off----Just take the 5 screws out and pull the door handle while holding the bottom of the door so that the door panel comes forward. After removing the wood trim expose the wires for the led lighting and while pulling the door panel forward reach in to the top of where the wires are coming from and just unclip the harness. Thats it

2. The harness if opened has a resistor in it which are known to burn out due to the excessive heat they create.

3. You can either replace the led bulb or the resistor to see which one has gone bad. Since resistors go bad more often than leds then I would just try that first.

I am glad you found out what your problem is because I think I have the same problem - the light that my dealer replaced on Monday didn't "fix" the problem! Go figure - should have known it wasn't that easy!

No prob. Let me know if you need any tips. If your not under warranty and need to fix this dont let the dealer do it as they will rape you. they will make sure to take 3 hours labor which will be $240 at least then add parts were talking almost $300 after everything for a 27 dollar part with a half hour labor.
