So, after 6 months of back-and-forth w/ Audi customer service and 3 of my local dealers I finally got the USB interface to work w/ my AMI. Lucky for me, a regional service manager (or something along those lines) was in the area and happened to have the correct AMI update (ZUG-814). The update does require a new Navtaq DVD.
The AMI is now able to support mp3 & wma's from a portable hard drive or USB flash stick. Impressively enough, it also support the m3u playlist format and ID3 tags in the mp3 & wma files.

Hi. Is this for 2007 US Spec with full Nav, etc? Do you feel that this is the best solution short of waiting for the factory AMI updates fro iPod?
