Making the switch from an '04 A8L to an A6 Avant (CPO). Is the S-line package worth holding out for? Are there any options that are a must-have on the avant? Any trouble spots that I should be on the lookout for?

Those are my favorite features by far (adaptive air suspension and adaptive cruise control). You get both the sport and comfy suspension in one.

I love the paddle shifters, and I THINK that is an S-Line-only option.

With the S-Line, you also get the nice sports seats and 'nicer' leather, which I really like. That and the black headliner and the daytona grey color option and minor styling difference.

It is a nice package, but the sport suspension or adaptive suspension are totally independent options, which are more important for driving/handling. (I couldn't find an S-Line with either). I think everything else is a la carte, within the confines of Audi packaging.

Paddle shifters were coupled to the wood wheel, independent of S-line.

You wrote that you think that the paddle shifters were ONLY an S-line option. To which I state that you could get the paddle shifters if you ordered the wood wheel, S-line or no S-line.
