Default I do.

Works great! Get it if you live in hot, sunny country (like I do - So. Cal.)

Default I also have it.

Its great. Just keep in mind that you no longer have the option of having a transparent sunroof. It is always covered.

Default Minor detail.

I never used the "moon roof" on my cars anyway. I think the solar roof is a must for those of us in hot areas.

Default I use the moon roof all the time. Makes the car airy by day, cool moon/starlight at night.

But I do wish I could have the solar sunroof option sometimes.

You mean the solar sunroof doesn't tilt or slide open?

It opens and tilts but you no longer have a "moonroof"

Default The difference between a sunroof and a moonroof

A sunroof allows you to slide back part of the roof and expose yourself to the open sky. When slid back, you can put your hand (or head or other body part) through the roof of the car.

A moonroof has two parts to slide back. The first exposes a, usually tinted, glass subplatform in the roof. Through this, the open sky is visible. The subplatform can also be slid back, tilted and/or opened. When both are pushed back, you can literally put your hand through the roof of the car.

Default We call them "Metal sunroof" and "Glass sunroof"...

Metal sunroof is, well metal, and tilt and slides.
Glass sunroof is exactly the same, but because it's glass (usually tinted), it also has a blind that slides across to block the sun.

I've never understood why you guys call them "moonroof"...what's it got to do with the moon???

Default I was always told it was called a "moonroof" if it was fixed and didn't open...

If it opened, then it was a "sunroof". It would be metal (rare) or glass (the usual). My old MX-6 had a metal sunroof, and I always wanted a moonroof instead (as I rarely open it, but like the enhanced lighting). Now I've got both!
