well, traditionally a "sunroof" is opaque, ie: usually metal and looks like part of the roof. A "moonroof" is glass and see-thru. Maybe the definations have been diluted, but thats the traditional industry definition 
As far as the the solar powered sunroof, I have one, but I have yet to see it in action. Im thinking of putting a peice of tape on it when I know its gonna be in the hot sun all day to see if it indeed did open itself up and air out the car.
