A6 Stock 18x8" rims: 245-40-18 tires with ET 48
Its not ET48, but 43 on the OEM 18" setup

I just researched this. I'm going by my memory here but I think the numbers are accurate.
A6 Stock 18x8" rims: 245-40-18 tires with ET 48
A6 Stock 19x8.5" rims: 255-35-19 tires with ET 48
S6 Stock 19x9" rims: 265-35-19 tires with ET 52
The Hartmann wheels have less offset so wheels stick out more. There are members are out who successfully installed 19x8.5 wheels with less than ET 38, but I think it gets more complicated with lowered cars because there is a danger of rubbing against the fender. Good hunting!

Are you sure? The numbers I got (not saying I'm right) shows 48. The 17" stock number I have is 45mm so it doesn't make sense that 18 will have less offset than 17". Perhaps all my numbers are wrong?

ok guys Im really looking to purchase these exact rims for my 05 a6 4.2 this summer in 19's again im switching from the stock 18's to these and i need tires so if anyone can tell me the right offset or whatever and the correct tire size i would really appreciate it!
I might answer your questions.
I am currently running 19x8.5 et43 5spoke wheels with 255/35/19 tires taken out directly from 2010 S4 all around on my 05 A6 C6. This car has H&R sport springs. They are all cleared from fenders, brakes, arms, etc. No worry about rubbing issue or any other at all. 19" even look small on this car if you look at them from distance.
Before those rims, I had VMR 708 rims 19x8.5 et38 with 245/35/29 tires and lowered. No issues at all. I think you can go with 255/35/29 tires if you want little more comfort.
In my opinion, I feel absolutely more secured with 255 tires than 245's while Im driving. I mostly drive NYC road lol.

I don't know if the images would show up.
They are the look if you want to go with 19" 5 trispoke rims on your C6. They are kind of messed up now since I drove with them in winter too but I don't really care cuz that's what they are made for.. running on the ground regardless the weather conditions.
