Anyone know if the A6s take special license plate bolts?

Can't find anything from local parts store that fits it. What was on their before was a poor fit and left a large gap (bolts were too long for the hole) so that there was constantly rattling from the license plate as a result of it not being screwed down tightly.
I remember I had to get bolts from dealer for my 04 A4 3.0QT and also had to get special bots from dealer for a 3 series BMW I used to have as well (not that that is necessarily related to Audis but figured it might be a German Spec thing)...

I got some bolts from a car parts store that were not metal. I can't remember what they were made of. anyway, they seem pretty substantial but I was able to cut the ends off to fit the rear license plate holes.

M6-1.0 x 8mm Button Head Cap Screw A2 Stainless Steel for use without frame. Obviously longer with frame.
A good source is Fastener Warehouse ($0.15/ea)or you could get them from ECS Tuning for $3.62/ea

any decent hardware store will have the item you need, made of stainless steel, of course.
