I have been plagued with recurring albeit uncommon alarm of TPSM since I bought my A6, starting week one. This warning will pop up after I have been driving on the highway about 1 hour. Audi is unable to detect a problem, and now states that they think it is my Valentine One radar detector interfering with this. I sincerely doubt this, as I have not noticed any correlation.

Have you tried driving with the radar unit off for awhile to see if that eliminates the alarm?

Have a V1 in my D3 with TPMS; only has misfired once in over a year and 10K miles--a very hot day at that. More than a few Audi drivers have both TPMS and a V1, so logically if it were this they would have a lot more of these incidents and you would probably find it on the boards too.

There is a detailed TSB that goes over the steps they should use to diagnose it--#44-07-05 dated 12/3/07. Have they confirmed they went through a very specific diagnosis like this?

On early D3's they also had a TPMS update to the MMI to deal with a weird fluke of sunlight hitting in certain ways under bizarre conditions--kind of like an epileptic attack of sorts with rapidly flashing light. Why that would set off TPMS is a mystery to me. That was for D3's and it was several years ago; a 2007 should be much too new as far as the MMI rev, whether you got updates or not, even assuming the issue was not just limited to (early) D3's.

I have a V1 and TPMS in my 05 4.2 and have no TPMS problems.

I have had frequent TPS Malfunction errors pop up but I do not have a radar detector. The Audi dealership has checked it out several times and they tell me they have reset and recalibrated the system - but the error shows up every once in awhile regardless. They mentioned I should put some nitrogen in my tires as this may help. Whatever.

Took three or four visits, but they finally fixed it. It was very frustrating. Not sure what they finally did though.

And no, they didn't just turn of the system, because I've had a valid alert since.

Yes. I'm writing this in 2024. I have used a V1 Gen 1 in my 2010 Camaro since new with zero issues. In 2023 I bought a new V1 Gen 2 and since then, I have sporadic "TPMS Malfunction" messages. It is always the the RR that shows -- and in to signal. The TPMS system won't relearn unless I unplug the V1. Yet I cannot replicate the fault on command to I can't completely determine the cause. . . .
