I like Hawk HPS. Great performance and they don't wear too fast. Not much dust either. Be sure to use the right size for your rotors.
On my S6 (385mm rotor in front, 330mm rotor in back) I used
HB687F.750 - front
HB553F.652 - rear

I replaced the front rotors (Zimmerman) and brake pads (Akebono) in my 2008 A6 Avant and they are terrific. They don't byte as hard as OEM but they have ZERO DUSt!!!! There is a brake in period of about 300 miles but I think you will love them. Believe me, THEY WILL STOP THE CAR. Good luck.

I recently replaced my front pads and rotors with Genuine VW/Audi ones and I have to say that braking is wonderful with them. Feels spongy which is very comfortable but braking is exceptionally well executed. They are expensive but worth the money.

Sounds good. When we bought the car used in 2014 the dealer (Audi Northlake in Charlotte NC) put brand new rotors and pads in the rear. The fronts now are extremely clean. The rear ones not so much. Any recommendations on a bag com tool to release the real electromechanical brake? Thanks so much.
