While getting my A6 serviced at an independent shop, mu maintenance records from Audi were pulled up for them to check out what has been done.
What was interesting to note that starting a year ago, the only thing that the dealer shop has logged with Audi was repairs done under warranty. The normal maintenance records (55K, 65K & 75K) service records were never logged. All the normal maintenance points leading up to 55K were logged.
I do have my copy of the service statements but find it odd that the dealer "neglected" to log these ones.
Is this a common practice? Should I be calling them on the missing data? or just wait until I need some warranty service and have them attempt to deny it for missing the required steps? (This was a CPO and I have an extended warranty through Audi until 100K)

Very suspicious..find out where the 55k Major service paper work is since you payed for it...it wasn't cheap! plus the next owner if he's even half savvy will want to see the 55K ..if it was even done, the 55K is a key service not to be missed. Has this all been done by the same dealer.

Maybe the service was done by an indy shop. The service upto 45k was covered, so it was recorded. However, past that the car wasn't taken to the dealer, which is very normal.
Like in my case, I did my 55k service and plan to do all the service myself going forward. However, Audi will have no record that my service was done.

All the work (55K, 65K and 75K) was done at the Audi Dealership where I purchased the A6. I have the paper copies of the repair orders since these were all maintenance done after I bought it. I had some warranty work done after I purchased the A6 and those records show up online, yet the maintenace points do not.

Kev,
The carfax reports usually have maintence records that have been reported. You can also call an audi dealer and see if they can email you a copy of their maintenance/service records.
