Default Audi Service Plan Savings

My dealer stated that I could save 400.00 for the next three services if I buy the svc contract for 1130.00. I have 51000 miles on my 2009 A6 quattro so I believe this covers three services, including the 55k mile service.

Does anyone know about their servicing, specifically being able to break them down as to what they do.

Service 1. Oil Change
Service 2. 55K miles Service
Service 3. Oil Change

Even 1100.00 sounds a bit steep.

That is Audi Care Plus. I had looked into it 6 months ago. It covered the following:

55K Major service
65K Oil Change
75K Minor service

I called a few Audi dealers about 55K service. They quoted me about $900 in the Los Angeles area. If you are not going to do the service yourself, it is worth it in my opinion.

I decided to do it myself for 55K. So I opt-out on this. I spent about $300 audi parts (not including the VAG-Com to reset the service light) for the 55K. There is a lot of DIY video in the web. That is how I learn the how-to.

You only save money with audi care if you would have taken it to a dealer for all three services, pull your pants down and bend over.

You will save with a good indie. You will save a bunch doing it yourself. Once the warranty is up, whole lot less reason to go to a dealer.

No refunds on audi care if you sell or total the car.

I would add that while any unused Audi Care is not refundable, it is transferable to a new owner of the original car. (It's not transferable to another vehicle, however).

Correct and technically there is nothing to transfer; Audi Care is bound to the vehicle. I just found that out. Bought a 2011 a6 Avant at Christmas from out of state. Took it to the local dealer to pull service and campaign records. I was informed that the car was due for its 35k, and by the way, it's free. When I asked if I needed anything from selling dealer, local dealer said no, it's tied to the Vin, just show up for the service.

And, as you happily discovered, Audi Care is honored at any Audi dealer within the country of origin.

Mine was a CPO. So it is still under extended warranty. I will at least bring my car to the dealer for oil change so that they can do a full inspection to the car and repair anything that is under warranty.

I did my 55k myself. I brought my car to dealer for some noise from the central console. Dealer said the noise problem was not under extended warranty. $450 out of my pocket! But they did repair a few things in the front axles which I did not know. (the car drove great BTW) Those could cause me a lot of $$$ without extended warranty. The dealer also told me that one of my rear shock leak oil. To replace both rear shocks would cost $1200 which were not under extended warranty. I decided to wait since it was a lot of $$$.
