Default Auto Fog light

Is there anyway to turn on the fog light with the headlight in auto mode. I use the fog light all the time, but I have to shut off the lights manually everytime I shut off the car. So If I use the fog lights, its like having no auto headlight all. Am I missing something here???

Fog lights only needed when foggy. If they are otherwise on, the driver is saying look at me

Well, I use the fog lights as driving lights. Is there any way to have the fog light on in auto?

I have owned my 05 4.2 for nearly 4 years and I am not aware of an auto option on the fogs.

Default Maybe people prefer the look of fogs (or LEDs) vs DRLs . . . and yes, the driver is saying . . .

. . . look at me, that's what DRLs are for during the day. Safety in being seen. If someone is going to think I'm a D-bag for having fogs or LEDs on, at least they noticed enough not to run into me. With as many morons as there are on the roads, I just want to be seen. There's nothing wrong with having a preference of which type of lights you want running. But I guess it's still about vanity with LEDs, that's why Audi found a way for DRLs to be functional and stylish by going to LEDs.

Thats what I am getting at. Audi make you choose between fog light or auto headlight, why can we have both?

Default you mean day time running light? what is an auto headlight? the 'auto' switch?

i run lights on 24/7 as i like ppl to see me so that they don't hit me or cause me to hit them. The EU has 24/7 lights-on law either 365 days/yr or fall/winter season only ---that law makes sense to me

yes, I mean the auto funtion where the light sensor determine if the headlight comes on or not. Most cars let the fog lights come on with the headlight when its in auto. In the A6. the only way to use the fog light is to put the headlight on in the manual mode.

Default ic :) i think you can probably VAG them into being on all the time... but then they would be on

with the headlights off -- not sure if it's possible...
