Default Back seat Squeak! ERRR!

Does anyone else back seat squeak when going over bumps? Mine also seems to come from the passenger side of the back seat. So annoying. Would this be warranty? Or covered under Audi Pure Protection Platinum?

I have the same problem every 12 months or so. Spray the latches and the hinges with silicone and then move the seat back forth a few times to work it in. In my case the sqeak disappears for about a year and then i have to repeat the process. Good luck.

I just got rid of that problem. the squeak is coming from the lower hinge of the rear seat assembly. To get to it, lower the rear seat and spray on a lubricant (i used silicone spray) onto the bottom hinge. Just be careful not to get it on the leather. Give it a good 1 sec burst and work the lube in by moving the rear seat up and down a couple of times. That should do the trick!

Cheers

thanks all for the responses. Where can I buy silicone spray. Can you provide me a Band and product name? Also how do I move the seat back and forth to work it in? and the location of hinges?

THanks

Another thing you may want to try is make sure that the rear seatback is latched all the way. It'll squeak if it isn't all the way latched.

Mine's always latched all the way but develops squeaks with changes in weather.

Squeaks develop when the weather drops colder.

I have tried everything from WD-40 to a little bit of synthetic engine oil but it keeps on coming back.

The simplest method is to open the folding seats and then close it with a hard throw.

This lasts for at least a few weeks.

Yup, that works for me. Just fold the seat and relatch it with a push, it will be good for another 6 months
