BDW 2.4 crank no start

There is a cheap c6 2.4 v6 for sale, it has the fault code p0346-006, camshaft position sensor g163 implausible signal. Cranks and coughs a bit, but no start. Chain stretch/jumped? Should i mess with it or leave it to the seller

If you can afford it for the test, throw a set of working OEM CPS in it and it will fire up like a charm!
Don't ask how I know.
