The Big Tease: New Version of DSG for the A4 and A6 by End of Year

Gleaned this from a Google News search:
Audi develops new Direct Shift Gearbox for A4 and A6
AWKnowledge (subscription), UK - Mar 10, 2005
Audi has announced that it is developing a new version of its Direct Shift Gearbox for the A4 and A6 models, which it hopes to launch by the end of this year.
I found this by searching Google News for the words audi AND a6. The problem is that to read the complete story on Automotive World you have to subscribe. With MONEY! So that's all you're getting--unless someone wants to pony up. (Supposedly you can get a trial subscription if you give them your credit card. I'm not that trusting.)
Anyone have more information?

And, will the S4 and RS 4 also get DSG. FWIW, all longitudinal DSGs will be 7 speeds. Eventually, there will be three longitudinal DSGs. DL500 with a maximum capacity of 369 lbs/ft of torque built by ZF. DL700 with a maximum capacity of 516 lbs/ft of torque built by ZF or Getrag depending on model. And DL1,200 with a maximum capacity of a whopping 1,032 lbs/ft of torque. I forget the name of the company that builds the DL1,200 DSG. But I do know that it is an exclusive high performance company that builds the DL1,200 DSG.

I hope (and would think) that all engines (including the S4, RS 4 and S6 engines) will get DSG. But I don't know for sure.

complete poppycock!
It is in the works, but nowhere that soon. Somebody out there is rumour mongering, but it's like Torsen3 - it's going to take a while to show up across the lineup, if it ever does.
