Bluetooth phones compatible with 05 A6?
Sorry if this has been asked and answered before - I have an 05 but have not yet purchased a bluetooth phone; however, from what I read here it sounds like most of the phones that were compatible with the 05 Audi phone software are no longer on the market - any advice for somebody late to the game on this? I have no loyalty to any wireless company and my verizon contract is open for renewal so that's not an issue.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Bluetooth phones compatible with 05 A6?
I know the Verizon Motorola v710 works. So does the Treo 700w - that's my current phone.
The caveat on the Treo (650 or 700) is that the Audi will only import your 'favorites' (speed dial) numbers. With the v710, my A6 imported all number successfully.
My .02....

Import function works only partially (very odd)
I've got the 700p (the new one from Treo)
Some of my favorites import, but not all. There are 14 boxes on each of 5 pages. but only boxes 4 thru 9 on pages 1 and 2 seem to get imported. The others havent so far. Even with those boxes i've identifed as working, the numbers come in one at a time, from time to time. Is there a way to initiate importing of numbers to mmi? My explanation must sound bizzare, maybe it has something to do with the 700p.

I have the same problem with the 700w
Posted in the Telematics forum about this.
I only get the first 2 of my speed dial entries to import, no matter what I try.
If I figure out a work-around I'll post it. Could be BT-related, insofar as Verizon's implementation of it.

Im on Sprint PCS with an LG PM325
I could use the blue tooth connection to make calls, answer calls, end calls, dial from the MMI or the phone itself. However I can't import any numbers from my phone, or display missed calls or dialed calls. I have tried this with phones that use sim cards on cingular and T mobile. Those phone have full import features and works very well with the Audi.
My suggestion is have the phone dealer come out to the car with you and test the interface between the phone and car.
I have asked a few and all agreed to do so.
I have read that Sprint and Verizon is backing off on their policy of making Phone Manufactures limit their Bluetooth phones to just core functions. But we will see.
