I have leased 3 A6 Audi's over the past 7 years. Great cars, great dealer. My current 2007 a6 4.2's lease expires this week. The 2009 A6's will not be available until Feb 09. the dealer/audi were supposed to find a way to get me from now until Feb but dropped the ball.
I am considering moving to a 2009 535i X drive. What are your commnets?

Have you considered other cars? Jag XF is very popular over here in Europe in that class. I like the 5-series, but they are too common here...
After 12 years of A6's I also made the switch to Jag, I wanted something else, and so far, I'm very satisfied with Jaguar.
Great service, and so far, more reliable than my A6's.
Anyway, if I had to buy a 5, I wouldn't take the X-drive, real BMW's are RWD :P
Have fun car shopping!

As long as you have an order placed with them. Very odd that they would not do this.

i've wracked up about 10,000 miles since i got in February.
recently ordered some conti snow tires.
maint. plan paid buy BMW...good leases still despite the economy.
brother and sister. th 335 hauls a$$, rides pretty stiff and is a hoot to drive.

I looked at that car before buying my S6. I came from a 745i (wanted a 4 wheel drive for the new car) and found the 535iX much smaller in the rear seat area which was important to me as we often drive with another couple. Sit in the back and judge for yourself.

I considered the 535XI before buying my 2008 A6. The BMW is one great automobile. Great ride, extremely fast and a lot of fun to drive. I bought the Audi because it was a lot less (given the deal from the dealer) and personally I liked the looks a little more than the current 2008 BMW 535.
I don't think you would regret the BMW.

you get blacked out trim, thicker steering wheel, and comfort/sport seats. i have sport pkg on my car. you don't get the suspension mods.
on the non xi version, the pkg. changes wheels/tires (rft), stiffer suspension and some other stuff, and sport seats. i heard it's ride is still very good.
sport pkg on a 3 is bone jarring.
