Just for fun, ask the service manager at sears exactly the process they use to flush the brake system, run him thru the gauntlet and tell him your concerns and just for info, my local audi uses this fluid and says there has never been a complaint or issue.

Killerwatts comments certainly didn't surprise me, that could happenes even at the so called elite/expensive shops and does... there are few shops ANYWHERE I would trust for serious work on my car and that includes a few Audi shops, they certainly aren't exempt.

I'm sure they "CAN" do it but I'd rather do it myself or take it to the dealer for piece of mind.

I bought the pressure bleeder and did it myself. There's a write up on here if you decide to go that route.

Agree; would only take a vehicle to Sears to have work done if every other shop in town were closed. I also have personal knowledge and experience dealing with them in multiple cities. No way. Especially if you don't know anything about cars or you're a woman. I'd go to Big O Tires or even Sam's Club/Wal-Mart first if I had to go that route. In that order.

Of course, I wouldn't use Jiffy Lube or trust Texaco gas in Oklahoma either. But that's just me.

A flush is fairly simple to learn, but many don't want to dirty their hands, so lay off the cigars for a couple days and have the dealer do it.
