Brake job - waht's the usual dealer price?
#11
I just had my rears replaced at the dealer for $225.
I'm at 46K on my '05 and will be installing the Akebono ceramic fronts as soon as they get here...
This is the first pad change for the rear, and the second for the front. My pads are wearing as expected.
Oh, Cavender Audi in San Antonio does my service. They are the bee's knees.

I paid $292.50 for rear pads and rotors at an independant VW/Audi shop. I had 63,000 miles on them, 1st replacement. I will not have any non-warrenty work done at my local Audi dealership... EVER AGAIN!

I was quoted about $900 for rear pads and roters, I thought that was a little high so I brought my car to an indy shop that quoted me less than $400 with labor. After I dropped off my car they called an hour later, they told me that the brakes were 7/10ths and unless I was having problems they didn't need to be replaced.
I called my dealer and they tried to explain it but lost even more credibility.
I would look around but it is highway robbery at the dealership.
