unless of course it lasts up to 100K (from the 42K mileage the car currently has)--- most of the more expensive maintenance parts are in need of replacing after the initial 50K. I would get more info so that you know what you are paying for.

and that sales guy is BSing you. If he won't do it, I am sure someone on this forum could hook you up with a deal for $1K profit. If not, I know a guy (dealer on the web) that can do it for you, he is in PA. He ships anywhere and sells warranties.

Think about it, financial meltdown, cars coming off leases and everyone is cautious and not buying expensive cars.

FYI, last week I paid $29990 for a Certified 06 4.2 S-line, 35K mi., sport seats, nav, engine start/stop, etc. black w/beige. Perfect condition. Dealer claims that it was misadvertised, i.e., should have said Certified was extra (it did on AOL, but not AutoTrader) and it was supposed to be the 3.2, not the 4.2. I held him to his word and we did the deal ( I would have liked to get a bit more for my 02 4.2, but it had 95K and I had to give somewhere).

That is a sweet color combination and the one I really wanted, esp w/sport seats, but Black/Beige was the best I could get. I'd pull the trigger.

I just put the deposit down for the 05 for $24600. Looks like you got a good deal for the 06. Nice work making them stick to the mistake, if it was one.

I would love to get an 06, but it was budget prohibitive and mine is a CA car with one owner. It's nice that yours is CPO with warranty. I have been looking everywhere.

I looked long and hard for this one and was glad to find one in MA. I am admittedly jaded when it comes to dealer veracity; I caught a Volvo dealer "stretching the truth" re a "just reduced price" on my wife's certified S80 when I saw the window sticker on his credenza when he stepped out of the office. Gotcha!!! He ended up doing even better on that deal, too. ;-)
