looks liek a good deal, but it isnt an audi dealer, or BMW,MB,VW,or whatever, it just seems like a pre owned car dealer. The carfax looks ok, its right on their site. What do you guys think?? is it safe buying from one of these dealers?
How much warranty is left?
Can i get a Audi dealer to certify it? I know some people who did this at BMW dealers, buy a BMW from a Audi or MB dealer take it to BMW and they will certify it. can Audi do this?

I am new to this board and do not own an Audi (rather drive a BMW), but am a long time fan of the A6 and have been considering such a purchase. I believe the car is under warranty at any Audi dealer for 50,000 miles or 48 months, AND the 2005 models also have free maintenance at any Audi dealer for the same period.
Before buying, it would be a good idea to take the car down to the Audi dealer and pay their ASE certified mechanic to throughly inspect the car for any serious problems, such as body work, etc. Don't let the other dealer tell you that anything wrong is covered by warranty. You want to find out anything they might not want to tell you or don't know themselves. Not all shows up on Carfax.
BTW, the car is beautiful!

Ours is Dk Blue with amoretta interior.
Technology pkg, incl nav. advance key, Advance headlights, ect.
We are really enjoying it. Paid 33500. at an independant dealer. www.donohooauto.com
Took to my Audi dealer and got a fuel guage sender issue repaired and our 15000 mi service which had not been done. All went well. No charge.
I was also looking at a 2005 CPO without nav. with 30000 mi at my Audi dealer. He asked 31000 for it if I recall correctly. would have bought it but I was too slow. There do ssem to be more 2005--2006 A6s becoming available as they come in off lease. For a while they were scarce.
Your price sounds pretty good. An Audi dealer would probably ask a couple of thousand more with CPO. Might pay off might not. I had CPO on my 2001 TT but only used it once for a minor issue.

I agree that you should take it an Audi dealer to have it inspected.
In addition, they should be able to pull up a service history on the car for you to review.
You are aware that the car does not have the cold weather package (heated seats) correct?
There is also a warning light light on the dash that looks like a bulb out.
I own a 2006 A6 3.2. Great car but its definitely not problem free.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a car from a dealer like that. If they are selling anything from Audi's to dump trucks, they don't really specialize in anything. It could very well be a clean, great car. I would think twice though, at the very least do all the research possible on that particular car.
