I don't know what a dealer would charge you, but if you DIY it then it's a simple job, takes about an hour or two and the sensors could be had from eBay for about $50 when I replaced mine.

A/C problem could be a number of things. Try refill first, it costs about $50. A/C Pro had a few video in youtube which showed how to check and refill refrigerant. I watched them and followed their instructions to refill my A6. The A/C works really well now. A/C is actually cooler than it ever got since I got the car 8 years ago.

Keep in mind - don't overfill refrigerant. More is not better.
