Default C6 ABS module problem?

Hi, everyone.
I have 2005 A6 C6 with 10k on it. It seems like lots of audiers would have been experiencing simmiler issues with ABS and parking sensors.
Recently mine has also turned out to be bad ABS and brake. The ABS and brake lights are on and the parking warning sign is on and off after 20 to 30 mins driving. They are gone after restarting the car and it comes back in short drivings. For me, the lights don't bother but the beeping sound drives me crazy due to the parking sensor keeps being on and off. I cannot even ride someone since that sound makes others nervious. So I went to a local auto shop to find out the code for the problem to ask here. The technitians have tracked the cables but they did not find any problem with cable connections. They said that they will try to replace the ABS module as it's stated on the manual with below fault code if I want them to, which meant that they are afraid of if that's not the issue of ABS module since it cost $1600 only for the part from Audi dealer.
Please help...

One fault code came up: 01418

Does anyone have any experience with the code? Is it only because of a bad ABS module? or any other reasons?

I asked this question in the other fourum but could not get any advise so far. Any advise are acceptable. Thanks.

That code doesn't make sense. A VAG DTC has five digits starting with a "1" (e.g., 16XXX), and the corresponding SAE code is PXXXX. So, whatever scan tool was used to ID that code is not a VAG compliant scan tool.

Are you sure that number does not stand for a fault code of Audi?
Two different technitians both came up with the same code. They said that they are not sure what the code exactly for. It might be a failure of abs module or power valve or code (not sure).

The only reference to 01418 in the bentley is in the wiring diagram for the
ABS/ASR modules and associated valves/pumps/relays. No. 18/6
N225 -Pilot valve 1 traction control (01418)

Default pain in the butt..

still hasn't ended up with this problem..
I talk to a specilized person for the german cars. He advised me to run the car until the lights are set. So I'm just driving with annoying beep sound..

That fault is for one of regulation valves (valve #1) inside ABS hydraulic control unit. To fix it, you have to replace the ABS unit.

If the problem turns out to be with the ABS control module check bba-reman.com. A friend had a C5 A6 with similar symptoms. Scanning with VAG-COM resulted in an error that the module could not communicate with the instrument cluster one time and another error a different time. I removed his ABS controller and sent it to bba-reman. We had it repaired and returned in 5 days for $160. If you do not want your car to be down for 5 days you can have them ship you a remanufactured unit in advance and then they will refund a core charge when the old unit is returned.

One more thing.

When the ABS control module is removed it does not open the hydraulic system so there is no need to drain the system or bleed it upon installation. Accessing the module to remove it is the tough part. I have not done a C6 but in the C5 it required removing the wheel well liner and the windshield washer fluid tank. It took about an hour to remove and an hour to replace.
