Default calling Quattring and One Hot Avant

hey guys -- i'm looking to replace my front bumper cover and lip with an S6 bumper cover + led's. The shop i am working with has not done this before and i would like to make their life easier (they have done c6 front bumpers just not an s6 front conversion). Would it be possible for you to list the parts that need to be purchased and possibly part numbers if available. Here is what i think i need so far:

1. S6 Front bumper cover w/washer covers
2. S6 Center grill (can i use my stock grill? if not how do i swap the s6 emblem for the regular quattro emblem. not trying to be an S6 poser :P )
3. S6 right + left grill cover
4. S6 Led's right + left (do i need any special wiring here? -- any codes being thrown here when wiring to the parking lights? or fog lights?)

anything else?

Tow company damaged my front bumper cover+lip so i get to have them replaced, hence my questions.

thanx a ton.

Default Here's the rundown . . .

I only have the part numbers for the LED portion. I am going to e-mail my contact in the parts dept. to have them send me the other numbers.

See below for additional notes:

1. S6 Front bumper cover w/washer covers

2. S6 Center grill (As far as I know, all the A6 grill inserts are the same size excluding the RS6. I kept my S-line grill because, like you, I didn't want to be an S6 poser. I know it's possible to remove the S6 badge from the grill but I don't know if the Quattro badge would fill the entire void left by it. My vote would be keep your existing grill, or replace it if damaged.)

3. S6 right + left grill cover (cheaper than your existing covers around your fogs)

4. S6 Led's right + left (I had mine wired to the parking lights and it threw back codes for missing fogs. To get around this, I simply plugged the fogs back in and secured them behind the bumper away from anything of importance. My suggestions would be to have the body shop try to wire them to the fogs 1 of 2 ways . . . 1) Simply wire tap to the existing fog harness. 2) Apparently there is an Audi OEM part that adapts from a 3-plug harness (LEDs) to a 2-plug harness (fogs) This would allow you to simply plug the existing fog harness right into the LEDs, that may get you around the code. I was unable to find this adapter even with the help of my parts dept. If you can have the body shop wire to the fogs and you don't get the error on your DIS, then you're good . . . if you do, you can always do what I did and secure them to the backside of the bumper and disable the "coming home" feature.)

Part Numbers I have at this time:

LEDs: L & R
4F0-941-067-A
4F0-941-068-A

Harness: 2
000-979-131-A

Basic Wires: 3
3D0-973-703

I will post as soon as I get the part numbers for the S6 bumper cover and the lower grill inserts.

I'm a little long-winded, but I hope this helps . . . It's gonna look sweet man!

S6 grill does NOT come with badge from madaudi, so you can pick your own, I chose the S line badge

Default jazznuts699 you can use your A6 grill. It looks like your list is thorough but

if you don't have the headlight washers (I believe all US cars do but hard for me to see the pic with my screen at the moment) then you would need to get the covers as well.

Default Re: Here's the rundown . . .

below is an update i got from genuineaudiparts, looks like the part numbers jive with what OneHotAvant listed. However i will need to check all the part numbers to be sure:

S6 Bumper cover - 4F0807105LGRU - List $552.17, our price $381.00 -- i'll get this through my local dealer as shipping will make this too expensive

S6 grille - 4F0853651AJ1RR - List $369.75, our price $255.13 -- dont need this

Outer grilles - Left - 4F0807681F01C, Right 4F0807682F01C - List $37.05, our price $25.56 each

LED's - Left - 4F0941067A, Right 4F0941068A - List $206.13, our price $142.23

I'll also need the washer covers -- anyone know the part numbers on these? for an unknown reason my 4.2 did not come with headlight washers... i guess this was an s-line option only in 2006

the other parts would be the wires and harness.

i can save $100 over oemplus on just the leds -- and slightly over $50 over madaudi if i go through genuine...

Default Final Parts List

Jazz . . . I got the complete invoice from my parts dept. from when I had my car repaired. I saw the list that you posted in response to my partial list. I don't have a separate part number for the headlight washer covers listed on my invoice. I think that headlight washers are standard on an S6 so it is simply included with the bumper cover. You might want to ask on that, but if they needed to be ordered separately, I would expect to see them on my invoice.

Here's the list:

S6 Bumper - 4F0-807-105-L-GRU (List: $552.17)
L Lower Grill Insert - 4F0-807-681-F-01C (List: $37.05)
R Lower Grill Insert - 4F0-807-682-F-01C (List: $37.05)
L LED - 4F0-941-067-A (List: $206.13)
R LED - 4F0-941-068-A (List: $206.13)
Harness - 000-979-131-A (List: $8.10) x 2
Wires - 3D0-973-703 (List: $3.78) x 3

Looks like you're good to go with the part numbers that you've found. Let me know if you have any questions. Can't wait to see when it's complete!
