Can you turn off the auto upshift s6
I have 08 S6, can you use the VAG or anything else to remove the automatic up shift when driving in manual mode. I have some favorite roads that I drive in manual mode with the paddle shifters. On a few turns I need it to hold the gear and not shift once it approaches the red line. Any way to shut this off?

Sorry OP, I've explored VAG-COM and I don't think we can do anything about automatic upshifts. TCU tune would likely be the only solution. Maybe talk to a shop that deals with tiptronics and see if they have any solutions.

Sell the car and get a manual gearbox model.

My bad. Up until now, always shifted before redline in fear of damaging the engine. Thanks for pointing out my fault. YOU'RE MY HERO.
