Default Cannot unlock and open car (2006 A6 Quattro Avant), even with physical key

I cannot unlock and open my 2006 Audi A6 Quattro Avant, even by using the physical key on the driver’s door keyhole. The battery appears to have suddenly weakened and the electronics do not respond to pressing the unlock button on the key fob nor does the driver’s door unlock when I insert the physical key into the keyhole and turn it. I even tried turning it back and forth between the unlock and lock positions as I saw in a YT video but that didn’t work either. I noticed when it got dark that the diagnostic symbols are illuminated like they would before starting the car but I can tell the illumination is weak.

Apart from breaking one of the windows, I am at a loss as to how to unlock and open this car. Does anyone have any ideas?

That happened to me recently, I sprayed some lubricant in the key hole and worked the key back and forth until the door unlocked.
The symbols on the dash appear to illuminate when the battery voltage drops below 5VDC. I am still trying to figure out what is causing my battery to drain.

Are you able to jump the car at all? Does your car have a keyhole in the truncklid? Open the trunk and jump the battery?

Edit, sorry, you have an Avant... no idea if that has a keyhole.

My battery drain issue was due to a faulty Rain Sensor, Link to the post.

Thanks for the replies. I jump unlocked my 2006 Audi A6 Quattro Avant (wagon) by jacking up the car (only on the right side and by using a jack stand), removing the undercover, and supplying power by attaching jumper cables to where the 12V line connected to the starter motor (+) and chassis (-). I checked the voltage across the connection points to make sure it would work. Once I unlocked the car, I simply popped the hood, and jumped started it from the +/- terminals in the engine compartment after putting the undercover back on and lowering it back down to solid ground.

I planned to pop open the hood from below to get access to the +/- terminals in the engine compartment but skipped that when I noticed that the starter motor was easily accessible from below. Here are some good videos on YT to pop open the hood of an Audi A6 (C6) if the cable breaks:

There is no obvious keyhole to open the hatch of the Avant. I may remove the license plate to check if it is hidden behind it.
