Can't get the air box out....
Started the 55K service this morning and of course run into a snag on what should be the simplest part.
I removed the two front sections that connect to the air-box and the accordion section that goes to the intake and the hose clips and the two main metal clips.
I've pulled up and to the right but cant get the section with the filter element to separate from the rest of the box. I've pulled so hard the portion of the air-box that is supposed to be left in place has come loose yet I still can't separate the two halves.
There's a hose, about 2" diameter connected to the bottom of the air-box, does that need to be disconnected??
As always any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Even in my case, the section that is supposed to remain on the car came off. You just need to wiggle and apply force for them to separate out. the two pieces are are connected at the bottom using interlocking clips - use some force and wiggling, it does feel impossible for them to come apart, but they do.

Same here, knuckles are scraped up from that and the cabin air filter swap. It took longer to get the whole box back together properly and to reattach the hose to the intake manifold.
I had to use a little dish washing liquid around the outside edge of the intake to finally get the hose back on.
All in all a fun day though.
