car shakes when I start it cold (dealer can't figure it out) any ideas?

I heard back- they are replacing my entire engine - the whole long block, entire asembly
I got the call back today, letting me know that once opening her up, they found tiny grooves in the piston cilinders, making the engine rumble during cold start. So now they are replacing the entire engine with a remanufactured engine. Will this depreciate the value of my car?
