CD Changer has locked up.

It changed CD's, played about 4 seconds of track 1 then reported the slot was empty. I switched to changer control, all slots reported as empty. Opened the glove box, the CD that was played had been ejected.
Now nothing works. Switched off the ignition and back on again but pressing either the load or eject button just results in all six slot lights flashing for about a minute.
Anyone got any ideas???

Disconnect the power, not the communications wiring--replacing a fibre cable could get expensive.
I'm not sure how many of you are aware, but the MMI & the audio gear are all connected via a MOST network. This is sort of new technology--the only other Audi model that I know of running MOST is the A8 (good company). I deal with fibre on all of our routers and hubs at work. It is hard to damage these cables. Now the cables might be different in the C6, but there is no way they could be fragile, they would never last in an automotive environment if it were easy to break them.
