please advise: should the cd title and cut titles appear in my MMI display? I only get CD # 1, 2 etc and track #'s. Would be cool if it spelled out: Van Halen, I can't drive....I have switched it back and forth in set up to no avail. Please advise, and thank you!

If CD has so call "CD Text" embedded, then you will see the CD Tilte and song titles displayed on MMI (provided that you have the CD-Text set to "On" in Setup Menu). Most of newer released CDs have CD Text feature. TO determine if your CD has CD Text, just put it in COmputer CD-ROM, if it displays title rather than "Audio CD" and song title rather than "Track 1", then it has the CD Text.

i have only found one cd that actually showed the cd information (james blunt) and i tried several new cd's. unless my mmi version is outdated, i do not believe that if the titles show in your home computer that they will necessarily show on the mmi. i have re-burned all my cd's to have them show the name/tracks in the mmi.

Don't forget, some CD software will look up the track info on the internet. So although you can see the track info on your PC, it doesn't mean it was stored on the CD itself.

Correct. Example - I copied a CD using Musicmatch that came with my Dell and got no track info. Tried again using Real Player and voila, track info which does show up on the MMI.
