So you are saying that something like this is covered under warranty? My dealer didn't say anything about that?

The same thing happened to my center console. It turns out that it was coffe that was spilled by the previous owner. Fortunately though you do not need to purchase a new console piece. Ask your dealer to to take off the piece and clean off the whatever mess is under it. It may take a little elbow grease but it will definetely cost a lot less than buying a new piece. It worked for me and I don't have any problems with it being sticky anymore.

My dealer said they tried to clean the buttons. It help a little but I don't think they put much effort into it.
