but can anyone shed some additional light who owns one, as in:
* Do you like the ride compared to the std suspension?
* Would you buy the package again if given the chance?
* What, if anything, do you dislike about the S-line package?
The vehicle I'm considering is located at Stoddard Imports near Cleveland, which is several thousand miles east from me. TIA.

The S-Line suspension is tighter than standard and you do feel the small bumps more. I personally like it. You really need to drive both to compare. Our roads around here are pretty good.
If I buy another Audi, it will have sport suspension.
When I purchased my car there was no new model s cars. The only thing I want more of in my car is horsepower. I wish there was at least a software upgrade that adusted the timing.

I have never driven the S-line, but I think the normal Avant suspension is very good. My complaint with anything tighter would be the harshness to bumps. One of the main reasons I bought my Avant was because of the stock suspension.

I have the s-line springs and sway bars, but the Koni FSD dampers.
Main reason why I did this is because I didn't want any deterioration of the ride, but wanted the car lowered using OEM bits to ensure that I didn't void my warranty.
One thing that I can say about the stock suspension is that it's pretty hard already, but felt a bit undersprung (floatiness and roll during hard cornering) and overdamped (the shocks did transmit quite a bit into the cabin, although the suspension never bottomed out).
The stock s-line would always be harder due to the decrease in spring travel. However, the FSDs are a great compromise, and I've given my initial impressions some threads below.
A good read on the FSDs can be found in tirerack under the tech section.
At the end of the day, drive the car and see how you feel. I've got a great suspension now.

I drove both the 18" and 19" S-Line sedans. I found both to be wonderful and would have difficulty purchasing the 19" BBS S-Line Avant.
The roads in the Denver area are less than wonderful and the 19's drove very nicely. And the 19's look great. BTW, the leather dash option is very nice looking and I would be adding this option also. Probably not the greatest value, but I would love looking at the dash every time I drove it.
Find a dealer that has it or drive a bit to get to a dealer that has the S-line package. Its the only way to be truly sure.
I think you would end up driving and wonder to yourself how people think that it is too stiff. Its wonderful.
Good luck. Keep us posted about your decision.
