Default CVT slipping & engine shutoff follow up after taking to service...

I posted a few days ago about my engine dying in the middle of an intersection & starting back up again with no problems & CVT slipping in reverse & the service department found..........ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! As I think we pretty much suspected.

I guess it was just gremlins. They ran the old VAGcom & they said they found nothing apparently wrong with the A6.

7k miles on a 2006 3.2 A6 FrontTrak. They came up with the same possible culprits as some of you guys who responded to my post. Maybe: bad gas, loose cap, CPU learning my driving habits & so on but nothing major showed up. But at least I have records now of what happened.

Still can't get a CVT with Quattro? Will there ever be a CVT quattro?
I have a 2004 with CVT. It jerked to a stop when I applied the brakes no matter how gently.
It required the replacement of a "control body".
Works fine now but only has 17k on it.
Fluid change due @ 3.5 years or 35,000 miles.
I stll have to be careful in wet weather accelerating from standstill but that's what you get with linear acceleration and no viscous coupling.
