Thanks for the update. I have yet to send my TC out. I have a Transtar about 50 miles from me, might check to see if they have one in stock, then do a drive to swap it out.

The Transtar catalog does seem to be a bit light on the Audi TC's - essentially not listing except as the ZF transmissions. What part number did they end up getting you?

The T/C for my 4.2 (HLL) is physically a bit beefier. The current superseded T/C for my car is 09L-323-571-R

That being said, it will bolt up. I'm too skeptical about it I can't find any application of 09L-323-571-M or 09L-323-571-Q with a v8 motor. I'm opting to have mine rebuilt at Precision and re-sell this converter. If I could have found an application of it in like an S4 I would have thrown it in there but not looking to have T/C failure in the near future.

**EDIT**

The shipping time to Precision of New Hampton was too long and too expensive to overnight, they suggested a shop local to me they deal with. Turns out this place is only 15 min from me. Similar pricing and they have cores in stock whereas Precision didn't. http://www.transtar1.com/default.asp

My TC was just shipped to Precision. I should have it back hopefully by end of next week. Engine is all back together, awaits TC to re-assemble and install.

Yup all is back together, runs amazing! Both my motor mounts were toast plus I did the poly snub mount. Night and day difference!

I only had it back for a week now and had to drop it off at Audi dealer for bodywork. (long story but while it was in for a service they managed to crash into it?) They gave me a brand new 2014 A3 2.0T as a loaner. Been having fun with it...its a fast little buggy!
