Not 100% sure but some been saying the following works:
Module 17 > Cluster > Adaption Channel 061 - subtract 512 from the number that is there currently and enter it
I also read a tread on A8 that disable the TPMS but I seem not to find it now.
I would look for that tread cause the A6 & A8 use the similar module.

I had this issue when I installed aftermarket wheels that didn't have sensors. After extended research, i found out that you can't simply reprogram ECU. In addition, first the TPMS module needs to be disconnected, then ECU needs to be reprogrammed to bypass the module in order to avoid an error and "low pressure". When I asked a dealer to so it, they said it was illegal and told me to be on my way. Some suggest putting TPMS sensors inside of PVC pipe, seal it, and pressurize it. This help when changing wheels without a need to swap TPMS.

Yeah, they've made disabling the TPMS on post-2005 cars quite a challenge. I've spent a lot of time on the topic with no success.
We did new tires on our 2006 A6 back a few months ago. I ended up buying those aftermarket sensors ($168) for the wheels when the new tires were fitted. I had the tire shop take all the original TPM sensors and install them in our winter wheels. This is the first winter without that horrible TPM system nag buzzer.

Will this really work? I believe the TPM sensors have to detect rotational velocity before they switch on. They are not active all the time...that's how they get such a long battery life...

it's not 512 it's 16. Find module 17 then coding and subtract 16. Here is the link http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index...Y_2008)#Coding
If u need security access it's on the bottom of the same link

First (and less expensive) systems worked by measuring wheel rotation and comparing speed of 4 wheels.
More expensive cars (and other later models) use the tpms.
2012 A6 has discontinued use of the tpms.
Disabling the system is likely tough, and it might be illegal to do so that future buyers of your vehicle do not think their air pressure is normal.
A system was required after the multiple tire failures, blow outs, and deaths from the tires blowing out on certain suvs 10 or 12 years ago.
Don't mess with mother nature or the gov.
