Default Clean the windsheild with toothpaste, a sponge and plenty of water. Then clean the rubber with

One Grand All Purpose Cleaner & Shampoo: A strong, water based heavy duty cleaner.

or

Meguiar # 39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner: Deep cleans heavily soiled vinyl and rubber.

or

P21S Total Auto Wash: Ignore the name, think Citrus Degreaser. A citrus based, biodegradable cleaner for almost anything.

(from carcareonline.com - my fav is P21S)

Sounds like my dive mask.
Thanks for the info, I'll try that.

Default Re: My E320 was the same way

I had rain sensors on my BMW and they worked great. The A6 gets confused aften and either goes too fast or not fast enough. Mist seems to be an issue also.

Not a deal killer, though. Their still better in my opinion than not having the sensor.

Default I have had no problems...

I think the auto wipers are doing fine. I haven't had snow to deal with, but much rain, and they pace themselves fine. I just leave them alone and they do their thing. Just as promised.

They should take notes from Honda on this. In intermittent mode, the Accord's wipers take a sweep when you lift your foot off the brake. Clever.
