Its at the dealer, they asked me to take all the keys there because some program ( or something) is wrong.
Its not the battery, all that Im saying ( as Goldmembre said ) is that there are too many malfunctions if the battery is out...

Well seems that the problem was the steering column. ?? The dealer said it fail and the electronics tought i was trying to steal the car, so everyting got locked up.
the part is $ 900 audi gave me 70% discount, plus labor, its going to be close to $ 700
(not bad), two weeks wait for the part since its very abnormal for it to fail.
Giving the circumstamnces, I would say it wasnt a design problem, it did what it was suppose to do, it just fail to recognize its real owner![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

on the 3 button reote key fob, does the memory get wiped if the battery is removed for long periods?
