Default Did I order the right latch for the center console?

Did I order the right part for my center console? I checked on some posts and other people seem to have broken latches too. It seems very common on the a6.

Console, Console, Cover assy, Black, Black - Covers & components - Covers & components

Can someone describe how I would fix this? I really hope this isn't going to be another trip to service.

I really hope I don't need the whole flap, or take the entire center console apart.

Per ETKA 7, there is a parts kit (P/N 4F0–898–173) for the upper armrest that appears to include the latch. It appears you have the black interior, so you'll need to add the suffix "–6PS" to the P/N to obtain the sabre (black) color kit.

Thanks both of you i verified the part and I think it is correct. But does anyone have the ElsaWeb manual that will show me to fix the center console?

Thanks.

No, have the Bentley Manual. Since that part is a kit, there may be instructions that come with it.

So where can I order this part? I do not have an Audi dealership within 200 miles of me.

Thanks. And the part I'm ordering is $34.80, just for the latch?

yup and it will come with the black plastic rectangle and a handle. Also when you remove the bottom cover the base area is hard to remove, but if you pull the sides of the armrest out as you pull the base cover it should come out, because their are notches on the plastic to hold it int.
