Planning on taking this on in a couple of days. Kinda intimidated by it. I've done my trunk latch, ABS module, sunroof repair, Rotors and pads but this is so foreign to me. Below are a few questions I have:
Since I'm removing the intake cover, is there a seal I need to replace once I'm done with the cleaning?
Should I replace the vacuum lines while I'm at this?
Seafoam or Easy Off Heave duty?
Open valves: if the cleaning solution gets in the car will it cause any issues, or will it just burn off when I start it.
My plan is to remove carbon, change plugs and do an oil-change. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

If its a 3.2:
12 rubber gaskets for the intake runners
6 injector o-rings
Unless the vacuum lines are in bad shape or you brake them, no need to replace
I used the Valvoline branded carb cleaner with great success to soften and remove all that crap: Filled up the closed valve chambers with carb cleaner and let it soak for a few hours then soaked up solvent with paper towels. There were only 2 cylinders with open valves so once I was done with the rest, I turned the engine over by hand to close the valve.

I've used easy off oven cleaner when the heads or manifold were off the car and had a good chance to thoroughly rinse them, but I dont think I would want to leave any in the engine. I think Seafoam would be ok for the engine, however, I remember reading that there are stronger cleaner agents for this kind of cleaning, do "carbon cleaning" search.
