Default Dr. Tranny for torque converter shuddering?

I just got a 2007 A6 with 75,000 but I'm noticing 250-500 RPM jumps iwhen I'm right around 30 MPH. I'm guessing that could potentially be a torque converter issue down the road. Upon asking my audi guy he suggested trying Dr. Shudder Fixx or Dr. Tranny (drtranny.com). Has anyone used these in the past and did they work? Also, this comes in a tube to be added -- where do i access the transmission fluid container? Thanks in advance!

Hi, would you ever consider servicing the transmission? It's not a bad strategy if you intend to keep the car a while.

+1 on this!

Get new transmission fluid in the tranny and change the filter first, before you consider adding any "snake oil" or other magic elixirs which will solve the issue.

Read the following guide and it'll help you understand how the service your tranny.

Here's a video of the process...BTW, I don't recommend using an electric drill to torque down bolts.

Change tranny/differential fluids!

Also, I highly recommend not trying any of those "fix it quick" add in products... especially on an Audi.

I had the TC replaced when I had the timing chain guides and tensioners replaced. The total bill was about $10k. But you should try changing the fluids first.
