Driver's seat ... pleasure or pain?

I have had my '05 3.2 A6 for about a month now, and am loving it in most every way, except for the driver's seat is beginning to irritate me...literally.
I don't have the sports seats (good thing, I think). I have tried adjusting the seat many different ways, but find my lower back, shoulders, and neck getting tense/fatigued all too often (I didn't notice this problem in the Jag I just got rid of, so I think its the seat, and not me). The seat kind of makes me feel like I am slouching my neck and shoulders unaturally forward. And by the way, I'm just an average 5'11" 185 lb joe.
Probably difficult to describe, but has anybody had similar issues and found a seating position that is especially comfortable?
Ah, the thought of being able to just drive without even noticing the seat...

Coming from a A6 C5 I very much like the C6 seats. I have the sport seats and find them to be very supportive yet am able to make runs from Baton Rouge to Memphis with minimal fatigue.

Also, is the steering wheel adjusted at the right angle and distance from your arms and are your legs at the right distance from the pedals? Suggest you visit your Audi Brand Specialist at the dealer and mention your concern. He or she can help you find the right position.

I'll bet it 's the position and the lumbar, also. I have 9,600 miles on mine with many 3 hour trips and no fatigue. The seats are more comfortable on trips than my wife's Allroad or my old 330i.

I had sport seats in my old A4, and so bought them in the new A6. These seats are even better, especially with the pull-out thigh piece in the front of the driver's seat. I've only had the car a week, and I'm still seeking the "sweet spot," but I think I'm pretty close.

My wife finds two problems with the seat in the 2005 A6: the headrest is too far back and may not help as much in an accident, and the deeper seat makes it harder for her to slide into the seat.

I hate the lack of an adequate left arm rest, but I find the seat very comfortable. I have emerged from 3 hour journeys with absolutely no discomfort at all. I'd say that second to the Audi A8 it's the most comfortable car seat I've sat in.

You basically never have to remove the key from your pocket. The only problem is that after three months I still find myself reaching into my pocket when walking up to the car. It's pretty trick to just climb in, press on the brake pedal and hit the start button. Be sure when you hit the stop button that the engine really shuts off. Not that easy to do, but a couple folks have apparently walked away with the engine running and the door locked (yes you can lock it with the engine running since the key is not in the ignition but in your pocket). Your first clue it's not shutoff is the radio stays on when you open the door. When it's shutoff properly, the radio/cd stays on until the driver's door is opened.
