E815 Bluetooth

E815 Bluetooth
I have a 2005 A6 3.2 and have had no luck transferring the phone book or any of the dialed and received calls via Bluetooth. I can receive and make calls manually but with over 300 contacts in my address book it is quite inconvenient to do business set up this way. Does anyone know if there is a way to update the Bluetooth to the 2006 software that obviously does work. I'm using Verizon E815 phone.

maybe updating phone/bluetooth soft will help
Try updating bluetooth soft on your phone. Worked for me, but I have treo 650 unlocked gsm. I couldn't see phone book from the SIM card; after updating my phone with latest firmware it worked.

Well, I use Verizon (in MA) with a Motorola E815, and my phone book downloads beautifully as do incoming and outgoing calls.

can someone get to the bottom of this?
If I get a new Verizon BT phone will I get the phonebook to transfer if I.....
1. Update my MMI software
2. Update phone software
or is the reality that my '05 A6 3.2 will never be able to do it? Is it only the '06's that can do it? If so then why?

Hmm, my E815 works fine in the wife's 2006 B7, pairs properly with a 2006 C6.
Phonebook is not OBEX, I think it's part of the Handsfree protocol.
