anyone has the experience with both of these spring sets? Eibach pro kit drops 1.2" compare to HR's 1.6" (from their website), I am wondering if anyone has any feedback or comparison on these 2 spring sets, which one rides or handles better? Thanks in advance!

Are you planning on doing just springs? Because to be honest most
people would do shocks/struts with springs so in terms or riding and handling you would be considering how does the set up run with the type of shock/strut and springs. Springs simply control ride height while shocks/struts control the rebound. I would assume the H&R's handle a bit better because they bring the car lower to the ground. The lower you go the less body roll/swaying.

thinking of the same question.
Here is tireracks test between the two.

they also have some other test with comparing the eibach system with sports/ shocks/ struts.

For what is worth, I got off the phone with Eibach this am and the springs for our car are backordered until the end May.

So far I think I am just going to keep my stock shocks and replace the springs to lower the ride height, and switch my 16" to 18's. It's interesting how 2008A6 said it helped him dropped about 2" in height. Even the official numbers from Eibach says about 1.2" on their website. Am I missing something?
That comparison between Eibach and HR springs on TireRack actually shows Eibach lowers more than HR (but official numbers from HR is 1.6" vs Eibach's 1.2")... it really is kinda confusing. Maybe it's cuz it differs from model to model?
Anyone out there have the experience of both Eibach and HR? how do they compare for you? Any opinion is much appreciated!

The C4 S6 guys have had reliability issues with the HR, they tend to break after a few years. My brother had them on his S6 and they broke near the end of the coils. HR provided replacements under warranty but he still had to pay for installation.
The problem with the HR springs appears to be a rubberized coating which is applied at the factory to reduce corrosion. After a couple of years this coating cracks. Once the cracks form the coating does the exact opposite of what it is supposed to do. Water and salt get inside the coating and start corroding the spring and they eventually they break. This has happened to just about everyone who has them.

Thanks!
Tire rack also said that they are no longer being made, but Eibach said they were on back order and will be shipped from Germanny at the end of May in limited numbers. I put a order in today at shox.com. Should be shipped out next Wednesday. Unfortunately, have to pay California sales tax.
Can't wait to put them on.
