Default Exhaust for 07 S6

Just bought a 07 S6, looking to upgrade exhaust. Could probably spend around 2k.

Live in St. Louis MO. Should I just go to a custom shop here, or should I buy something online and have it installed?

Looking for something like this...

the system on his car should not cost you more than 1k. Milltek is expensive, mtm is insane, and there are not many more. Get custom if you have a good exhaust shop around.

What exactly do I need?

The whole exhaust system, or a certain new part combined with the stock exhaust?

Magnaflow has a part number on their website for a cat-back system for the 2009 and 2010 s6. You may give them a call and see if it is applicable for the 07.

jfbhd4:
REMUS USA Rep' here. REMUS Austria (www.remus.at/) lists a unit for the RS 6 type 4F (from '08) with the 570 H.P. V 10. We have not stocked it here in the U.S., due to the rarity of the cars here. I am presently trying to find out if these cross over to the S6. If they do, these can be special ordered. I will post again as soon as I know. If you'd like to see what these look like, the p/n for a search is 049508 0504GL + GR. These have dual left / right - quad - 3" chrome (w/ rolled in edges) tips. Feel free to contact me directly if you have questions or information needs.
Thanks.

Just go with Milltek. You'll be happy with the results.
