Fact or Fiction: 2005 M35X & GS AWD more reliable...

For the most part they have. Just that some people might have a lower
tolerance for encountering the issue(s) in the first place.
No car is perfect and everybody has a different idea of what makes a perfect car :-)

Bad things can happen to anyone. I have been communicating with a member of the Infiniti M35/45 forum, who was offered a good deal on a BMW545, and took it, about 3 weeks ago. He just advised that he saw oil in his parking spot, and took it in. BMW dealer told him there was a hairline crack in the engine block, so they are going to have to replace his engine.
Needless to say, he told them he wanted a new car, to which they responded, "dream on". They said they will fix it, and thats it.
I had 7 BMWs between 1985 and 2002, and had many troubles with all but one of them. The three Infinitis I have had since 2002 were trouble free. Having only had the Audi a week, it is too early to have any experience, but I believe they are improving year by year, and expect my A6 to be fine. I leased, so don;t care if it has the odd glitch.

My 2000 2.7T had more than its share of problems but I still felt sad to let it go...
It had the aforementioned front-end problems, oil leaks (cam seals and rear seal <out of warranty> Audi picked up 50% on the leaks. The front end was repaired under warranty. I also had to replace the instrument cluster-before the recall. You know what? The only car I've been happier to own is the '05 3.2 now in my stable.
