I was working on my 07 audi a6 3.2 and i disconnected the trans cooler.. oil drip everywhere..
Moved the car a little bit out of the garage and now it sounds weird.
I know is because of the oil so i shut it down right away..
I read bunch of threads and they say the ATF fluid can be several colors.. is there another way to find out what atf fluid color wise i need beside taking out the refill plug and put a stick in there?
Also, does anybody know if pentosin makes any atf for our vehicles?
I read other threads talking about some funky ford atf fluid but dont really trust that..
Any help ill really appreciated...
In need of a lot of help..
thanks

"The G055 005 A2 bottle has golden color fluid inside.
The G055 162 A2 bottle has blue color fluid inside.
Audi A6 C6 with O9L transmission Model year 2005-2007 use ATF p/n G 055 005 A2. Model year 2008 and up will use ATF p/n G 055 162 A2. If you drain transmission fluid G 055 005 A2, you can refill with G 055 162 A2 but not the other way around."
I have G055 005 A2 bottle in from of me and it has brownish colored fluid.
I think the most reliable way to tell what fluid to add is by the transmission software version. You can read it from the VAG-COM (see attached). verion 0010 means G055 005 A2 fluid. version 0020 and up means G055 162 A2 fluid.
