Front seat removal/heater problems
Hi I'm having a couple of issues with my car and hoping someone on here can help, the car is a A6 avant 3.0 tdi.
Does someone have the correct way to remove the front passenger seat? I would like to remove this to check the Bluetooth module as the mmi system is currently dead ( as posted in another thread ). Not worked in ages and would really like to get it sorted now so any help to remove the seat or get the mmi working would be much appreciated.
second issue I have is with the heater in the car,for some reason the drivers side of windscreen mists up randomly, not really normal in summer 🤣 when it does this it seems incredibly difficult to clear even with all the demisters heat etc set to max,bit worrying when it gets difficult to see through the windscreen when driving,I have changed the cabin filter as advised by a garage but very little improvement, other than this the hot air initially stinks when first turned on. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Would really appreciate any help or feedback on either of these problems, thankyou

No idea if that is the same as the C6 A6. Here is a link that might help for your bluetotth module. I was able to replace mine (2008 A6) without removing the seat. but, I did need to remove the dead pedal to get the carpet back.

Once you get the trim and dead pedal off (if you have one), you should be able to move the seat back and get to the BT module. If not, the bolts are most likely triple square. Would probably be slide seat back, remove front bolts, slide seat forward, remove rear bolts.

Thanks for the reply, mine is UK right hand drive model,so would this mean the Bluetooth module would be on the passenger side? Completely fed up of all the mmi problems now, tried several different things to get it working but no success yet

No idea on that. I would assume it is still on the same side and not reversed.
One tip if you want to try removing the BT module to see if it is causing the problem. It was not working on my 2005 A6 when I bought it. Turns out the guy had the local dealer "fix" his MMI by removing the BT module and connecting the fiber ends together with heat shrink tubing. It was the perfect size to hold the two ends together. I bought a BT module off of eBay, plugged it in and worked great.

Thanks,am going to have a look at the Bluetooth module in next couple of days,it's the only thing I hsvent checked and after having a read up on them, they seem very common to fail,so maybe that could be the problem with mine
