Default Fuel System Service? Is it worth $300 and will it increase performance like the service advisor said
Brought my car in for the 25K service and a whole bunch of other stuff. All of a sudden the service advisor tried to push the fuel system service. He promised me it will increase the performance

It includes:

Carbon Removal
Fuel Injector Cleaner
Throttle Body & Intake Cleaner
Fuel System Cleaner

Is it worth it?

Default With all the additives in today's gasoline I don't think its worth $300. I use
STP Total System Cleaner twice a year in all my cars.

Default Not unless your injectors are seriously clogged up which
in this case would case driverabiliy problems. So if you don't have driverability problems, NO is the answer.

Sounds like a scam to me!! Try the Italian method first -- run her at high speed for a bit to "blow out" the deposits. Or, use STP.
