General Fitment Questions for 2009 A6
I am wondering if someone can assist me in clearing up the confusion as I am looking for wheels/tires on this site. I have called AUDIUSA on a couple of occasions only to hear "These will not fit on your model".
I have a 2009 A6 Quattro and am currently running the 18 inch upgraded prestige wheels.
How can I figure out, when I look at the 19 and 20 inch rims and tires, if these will fit.
I understand what the offset means but how can I figure out if I can use spacers to change the offset to something I need? I also noticed that I can fit wheels with different offsets on my car per some of the websites.
Is there a link I can use to figure this out so I don't have to call Audi because I don;lt think they are peachy about using spacers and such.
Thank you

your offset will be the most important calculation, obviously you need to ensure you have the appropriate tire size to ensure the fit and mileage is accurate as well.
There are MANY tools that calculate offset, but here's one:
http://www.willtheyfit.com/
your current offset will be within a range, and what you need to determine is if you want to have an aggressive stance (wheels pushed out) or keep it as close to stock. So firstly, you need to know your current offset, then using the calculator you can determine what you want.
For 19s I'd recommend a 45 offset, with a 255/35/19 tire size.
if you have 18s, you probably are running a 245/40/18 tire now.

Quick Response Requested
raj99,
Here are the paticulars:
Peelers I am interested in:
Size: 19" x 8.5", 5 Lug, 112mm Bolt Pattern, 43mm Offset
Tires are 255 35 19
What I have now:
Size: 18" x 8", 5 Lug, 112mm Bolt Pattern, 48mm Offset
Tires are 245 40 18
This is a local sale and they are going to sell quick so I need to make a determination if this is even possible. I was also wondering if I will need to look into spacers for this. I can also just put them on but I don't want to cause any damage to my suspension.
What do you suggest?

Audi is such a pain to deal with. They say they will not fit but they're not telling me why. This is not the first time I asked them this same question. I called ECS Tuning and they refuse to give advice about spacers when I spoke to them. "Put them on and then call us and tell us which spacer you need".
So I can't find anyone to tell me anything concrete as far as specs go. I do know that they will void my warranty...as fas as Audi is concerned. Funny that they have the same A6 Quattro model the following year that has these same peelers on them.
